March is a very busy month for us. We have birthdays and our anniversary. This year was especially fun since we got to celebrate Brinley's 1st Birthday! This past year has been amazing getting to have such an Angel from heaven in our lives. Here is what we have been up to this past month... and A LOT of pictures of our LOVE. :)

I got to go to a Lincoln Dinner with a silent auction which was fun. My sister, Rosie, helped put it on and her 2 oldest boys were apart of the scout troop to present the flag. Their Grandparents, Mom and Dad, and 2 Aunts were there for support. They did a great job!

Busy and Happy

Jake, Brinley and I went to Fairbanks for a weekend to see the ice sculptures and visit Chena Hot Springs. We had fun! It's a pretty drive... long when traveling with a little person... but pretty. :)

The ice sculptures were awesome! It was super cold though. It got down to NEGATIVE -7 while we were there. I wish we could have enjoyed them longer. Here are a few pics.

In the morning we headed to the Hot Springs. Brinley was all smiles. It was neat. We didn't know but they don't recommend anyone under the age of 18 in the Hot Springs. So we spent the rest of our time in the swimming pool. At least we got to be out there for a bit.

Brinley lives up to her middle name in every way. She is a love bug and will grab anything soft and hug it and say "oooohhhhh." It's so precious. I captured her loving her bunny. :)

For St. Patty's Day my Mom put together a cute little treat. She is very creative, talented and thoughtful and often does stuff like this. It was all very good! Thanks Maja!!!

Chocolate dipped pretzels, sour rainbows, lime popcorn, "gold" chocolates, clover sugar cookies and fun notes wishing us a happy holiday. :)

Jake brought me home flowers for St. Patrick's Day. Neither of us have any Irish ancestry so when I saw these I was very surprised. He said, "Well, it's a holiday, so I thought you would like them, right?" :) I am one lucky gal to have him!

My Mom only lives a couple minutes away and we have enjoyed it very much. Brinley LOVES it when her Gramma comes to see her. She actually prefers to go to my Mom over me sometimes... yeah... my feelings aren't hurt at all. :)

It was fun to watch her play in the snow for the first time. ( Yes, first time, her Mom is a bit of a stress case) She had the cutest grin on her face while she processed it all in her mind. I think she is going to be an outdoors kid.

For Brinley's Birthday, we reserved the church for our family to come and celebrate with us. Since a lot of Brin's stuff is Lady Bug "themed" (her bed, some clothes, her pillow pet, blankets, quilts, toys, etc.) that's what we ran with. We had a great time. We had dutch oven food, salads and the works. Her cousins Keegan who shares the same birthday was so sweet and generous to let Brinley have her special party. He was a special guest as well. (Her cousin Connor who lives in UT also has the same birthday and turned 7 along with Keegan!) Thank you all for coming and helping make Brinley's day special!

Kade is growing up fast and has been quite the babysitter. He goes to middle school now not too far away from where we live so we get to see him often which is great. Brinley loves her cousins, and her cousins love her.

My Mom had a birthday on March 29th! She is such an amazing Woman. She has MANY talents and is one of the most humble people that I know. I am so grateful that she is my Mother and that my children get to have her as their Grandmother. I love you Maja!
