Brinley is 6 months old today!

I can't believe that 6 months ago, we held our beautiful little Angel for the first time. Where has the time gone? She has grown so fast and changes constantly. It's hard to keep up. Jake and I were talking and we couldn't really remember what we did with our time before she came. How did we ever live without her? She is such an amazing blessing and we know that before we know it, she will be a year old... or even 16... yikes! Here are a couple pictures to just show how she has grown.

Here is some info for me to remember forever. Just for journal purposes so most of ya might not care to read through it.

Her first 2 months~

*She was born 6 pounds 9 ounces at 19 1/2 inches long.

*She went from going home at 5 pounds 12 ounces to 9 pounds 8 ounces and 21 inches long.

*She would cry whenever she was had her diaper changed or felt cold.

*She would usually sleep for 2-6 hours at a time.

*She curled up in a ball almost always or would have her arms above her head.

*She would stretch and grunt loudly very often.

*She started out at 1-2 ounces of milk at a time and gradually went up to about 2-3 ounces.

*We weren't very successful with breastfeeding but thank goodness for pumps!

*She loved the bath tub but was really not happy whenever it was time to get out.

*She started to focus in others eyes and smile.

*She began to be quite strong and try to hold her head up as much as she could.

*She always loved to be snuggled.

Her 2-4 months~

*She grew to weigh 11 pounds and 7 ounces at 22 1/2 inches long.

*She began to smile and be happy whenever she got her diaper and clothes changed.

*She started to want to stand all the time.

*She started sleeping through the night for 6-10 hours at a time.

*She still would put her arms above her head most of the time she slept.

*Began to straighten out her legs more which was a good for her hips since she was breached.

*She began being quite a cat napper from anywhere between 30 mins to a hour during the day.

*She still didn't care much for belly time.

*She began eating up to 4-5 ounces at a time.

*She began to not cry when she had to get out of the bath tub.

*But it was evident that she would stay in there all day if she had her way. :)

*She began smiling OFTEN and giggling.

*Her interaction was almost constant and learned she had quite the voice.

*She smiled at pictures of Jesus. :)

*Her motor skills progressed very quickly and she learned to grasp a hold of things.

*She likes to hug soft things especially her stuffed bunny.

*She loves blankets.

*She craved attention and interaction 90% of the time she was awake.

*Liked to watch TV the other 10%.

*She loved to be sang to and would just stare at me and smile.

*She was really strong for her age.

*Would hang on to our fingers and stiffen up her body to be pulled up to stand.

*She still loved to be snuggled.

Her 4-6 months~

*She grew to weigh 14 pounds 9 ounces and 26 in long. (18% in weight and 55% in height)

*She started on formula since her Mommy only had skim milk and just couldn't produce enough.

*She started out at about 4-5 ounces and now eats 6-7 ounces.

*She started to eat rice cereal and she LOVES it.

*She also tried some vegetables and is a good sport.

*She still slept really well for the exception of a couple nights when she got hungry.

*Still quite the cat napper. :)

*She finally began to roll over often both ways! :)

*She decided that belly time isn't so bad after all.

*She started to be a bit squirmy when she gets her diaper and clothes changed.

*She still loves to stand as much as she is allowed.

*She can almost sit up by herself but still needs help.

*She LOVES the bath tub still and smiles even when she has to get out now.

*She is a talker, a happy baby who is quick to smile at everyone and her laugh melts hearts.

*She still smiles whenever she sees a picture of Jesus and won't take her eyes away.

*She is so strong and loves to be tickled.

*She has started to put everything in her mouth, especially her feet.

*She has started to truly play and it is so fun to watch.

*She grabs a hold of hair but has started to be more gentle because I really think she understands that she shouldn't have that in her hands, she just doesn't know how it gets there. :)

*She has began to "growl" and it is so cute and funny.

*She LOVES her Daddy! :)

*Oh, and yes, she still LOVES to be snuggled. WE LOVE HER!
